How I look at it, going social can’t hurt but only help. I saw a statistic the other day that reported a majority of small business do not even have a website, let alone social media integration. If you have a mom and pop dry cleaner or pooch salon, you already have a tremendous advantage over your competition as they are spending their money on traditional, some would say legacy, advertising.

Exactly. Nowadays 80% of internet users around the world use social networks to convey their message to the word and get connected with marketer. 2012 has seen 40% rise in registered users in social networking than 2011.

Your business must keep up with the times and must go social, i would say join up to every single social network, every single one will be more helpfull than just 1 or 2, i would sign up to everything from myspace to pinterest!

Great post and the info-graphic breaks up the information perfectly. Not only do companies need to go social, they also need to be mobile as most users will switch from desktops to mobile devices by 2014.
