A home theater or home cinema is a theater built in a home, designed to mimic or exceed a commercial theater performance and feeling. Home theaters are very popular nowadays, some are more high-tech and sophisticated than others but typically build by movie lovers / geeks with too much cash to spend. Home theater products range from HDTVs, Blu-ray players, speakers, receivers and amplifiers, web-streaming boxes, projection systems, DVRs and more.
The most-expensive home-theater set-ups, which can cost $100,000 or more, have expensive digital projectors and projection screens, and maybe even custom-built theater like rooms which include cinema-style chairs and audiophile-grade sound equipment designed to mimic or sometimes even exceed commercial theater performance. Equipped with the latest digital video and surround-sound audio technology, home theaters can take you to another world without the need for leaving your house. However for most of us less will do the job… and simply have to (from a financial and space perspective!). However dreaming is OK
