In order to exploit the potential of getting this information, you need to install a WordPress form plugin. Advanced or premium form plugins will allow you to do the task of configuring, collecting and maintaining the data from contact forms in a few easy steps which you can do from inside the backend system of WordPress. Free WordPress form plugins will usually suffice for the intermediate business, but if you have loads of inquiries you should consider premium plugins in order to unlock the full potential of WordPress forms releasing more time to other important business tasks. Very nice collection of forms.
Please which form will you recommend for online application or registration for a School website. The applicant should be able to come back and continue or change his input information and print a copy or receive it once done while the school can also receive the applicants information by mail or in the database. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi there! This is a great article thank you for putting it together.

I am wondering, is there a plugin that allows registration for multiple products and then autosends an email about that product to the registered email address?

I’m a real estate agent and I would like a plugin that can send an autoresponse on a particular property.

Hi, great site! I need help with a form that allows employers to post their jobs. The form should have a upload field for companies to upload their company logo. Then once the form is submitted, it is published to a page. Every new new form entry should append to this page so that job seekers can look through and submit their applications.
So far, I can’t find any forms that can do that. Help!

I’m trying to encourage my young son with his website. He wants to create a form which lists various states. Based on the state selected he would like the next box on his form to bring up a list of cities for the person to select – in other words the answer to one box will drive the choices available in the subsequent box. Can you recommend a suitable form plugin?

A good list to summarize the different plugins. I wanted to use Gravity Forms for my website online registration, but was disappointed to find out that the PayPal integration is only applicable for their developer account, which is too much for me.

I’m using Contact Form 7 for the basic contact form. But I am looking for aPaypal integrated form plugin for online applications. Would be good if it saves info to database and would be a plus point if the user can upload files. Any idea which plugin would be good? :)

Thomas March 21, 2013 at 8:13 am

if you use Contact Form 7 and need for database stored, simply install Contact Form DB plugin. “Contact Form DB” can use together with Contact Form 7 as database connection.

Is there any plugin in which there is a Wordpress Sign-up Form with a Subscribe to Newsletter check box included,, for FREE??

If anyone knows, kindly please inform me?

marlita hill August 17, 2012 at 6:15 pm

Hi. Thank you for this post.

I run a blog that is growing quickly and i am new to this. every month i send out questions for people to answer and then i post their answers on my blog. but i have to format everyone of them individually and it is becoming too much.

I want something where the users can submit their answers. but i want the questions to be displayed in the post in blockquotes and the answer right under them like on here: http://goo.gl/KzcNN

to get it to look like that i just put

around the questions and then put the answer right under it.

could i control the look of the output with any of the plugins you described? or do you know of any that would allow me to do that?

thank you for your help.

Andy August 18, 2012 at 11:28 am

Hi Marlita
I don’t know a plugin like this, but maybe you can find one. I think this will require custom development though – good luck with your project 😉

marlita hill August 20, 2012 at 6:27 am

Hi Andy. Thank you for your reply. I find out that Formidable Pro does this, just in case anyone else wants to do something similar.

Thanks for including my ProjectPlanner plugin :)

Bjorn July 12, 2012 at 11:17 am

We are using Gravity Forms. Since I have a need for a form that does not record anything in the database (it’s a login form to a different site) I am pretty surprised that it is not possible to just redirect the person filling the form without it getting recorded in the db. This has now even led to a crashing db because it creates 800 to 1000 records a day. I have to manually delete them all, 20 at a time..

Any suggestions how to replace Gravity with something else?

Carsten July 12, 2012 at 4:15 pm

Thanks for your comment Bjorn.

I agree – it sounds frustrating!

Firstly I would suggest you contact the support team of Gravity Forms to see if they can help you fix your particular problem.

You could try the Formidable Pro plugin or the Quform plugin from codecanyon which is also a great plugin.

I don’t know of any Form plugin storing data outside the db. This could also be a more insecure solution.

sawontheboss4 June 24, 2012 at 12:09 pm

Thanks but i was actually looking for stylish comment form!

James June 12, 2013 at 2:07 pm

Jessica June 10, 2012 at 1:48 pm

You should probably add WordPress Advanced Ticket System to this list. This one supports frontend form with unlimited number of custom fields, DB tracking, notifications, etc…

Carsten June 14, 2012 at 8:59 pm

Thanks for the tip Jessica!

Murray March 29, 2012 at 11:13 pm

Does anyone know of a form which is good to use for seminar bookings? The dates of the seminars change throughout the year and the client wants a Paypal payment option in there as well.

Lil Mi January 27, 2012 at 11:08 am

I highly recommend this plugin popup. In addition to classical display of photos it can be used for many types of ads on your site.
While it is paid but a very low price. See the demonstration

Damian Baker June 12, 2013 at 12:39 pm

The link is no longer pointing to the plugin.
Maybe provide the name of the plugin or provide another link?
