If you want to capture the action of your subject, a great way to do it is to apply motion-blur effect on your photo. By selecting a longer shutter speed, you can produce an image where rapidly moving objects appear to be blurred or smeared along the direction of the movement. This happens because you allow the shutter of your camera to be open, long enough to detect the movement of your subject.
Basically, motion-blur photography can be applied on any subject, so long as it is moving, eg. sports events, moving vehicles, etc. Of course, the result of your image would vary depending on the speed of your subject, the lighting of the place, the shutter speed settings and aperture.
Here in this article, we are showcasing a some of the skillfully captured motion-blur photography that you can use as inspiration for your compositions. As you can see, a lot of these photos have fantastic blurry colors – characteristic of the outcome of the technique involved. If you want to showcase your own photos online I recommend you check out some WordPress photography themes. Check out these motion-blur photos and enjoy!
