OK there are really many free themes for Wordpress available for download, maybe too many! There are also many sites devoted mainly to providing easy access to free Wordpress themes and it is a bit hard to know how many of the sites with hundreds or even thousands of themes overlap. I would believe  a lot of the free themes available for Wordpress show up on multiple sites. On the other hand I did a few random checks and I didn’t find a lot of themes being published in multiple places. Really the number of free themes for Wordpress is growing rapidly and we are probably above 4000 themes. With numbers being this high the problem is not finding a theme but rather finding a good quality theme.  This post provides a comprehensive list of sites that are mainly focussed on hosting themes for Wordpress and you may use it as a one stop place to find a good free theme for Wordpress.

I have previously created quantitative lists trying to list any tutorials available that is worth following fx. 185+ Web Design Tutorials using Photoshop, CSS, HTML etc. In this article I have put a significant effort into picking only a few but some of the best available. This should make your life easier and its not too overwhelming to plan going through them to sharpen your skills and be inspired. I have based my assessment on the quality of the design itself, appearance of interesting and useful tip/techniques  and on the detail and quality of the individual tutorial steps.
