A motorcycle, also called a motorbike is a single-track, two-wheeledmotor vehicle. Motorcycles vary considerably depending on the task for which they are designed, such as long distance travel, navigating congested urban traffic, cruising, sport and racing, or off-road conditions.
Motorcycles are one of the most affordable forms of motorized transport in many parts of the world and, for most of the world’s population, they are also the most common type of motor vehicle.There are around 200 million motorcycles in use worldwide,or about 33 motorcycles per 1000 people.
As we go along with the future, there are a lot of motorcycle concepts decades ago that some expected to come out when we hit the year 2000. Wow it would be so amazing if all these motorcycle concepts we see being designed come to life! There are some really great minds out there who are always working with their creativity and imagination to get us some really interesting and amazing stuff. Anyways, the best part about motorcycle concepts is that they are fully capable of enchanting us with their amazing features; and the fact is we just love to know about such brilliant ideas!
Lean, mean and sometimes even green,these futuristic motorcycle concepts often make us want to head out on the highway and look for adventure. These bikes may not be quite ready to tear up the road yet as we zoom into the wind, May we get to ride one of these in the near future!
Cool Futuristic Motorcycle Concepts
This concept bike, Puma clothing, and some awesome Puma racing shoes are totally going to make you look super cool.
The Tomahawk is a Viper V-10 based motorcycle, a 500 horsepower engine with four wheels beneath it. The engine breathes through twin throttle bodies mounted right up front. The Tomahawk concept is an awesome-sounding machine.
A motorcycle inspired by the brand Ferrari would be definitely something different from all other two-wheelers in the market and it will probably look like this one in the image. The concept behind the design is definitely unique and involves the principles of aerodynamics and latest technology to empower the motorcycle with high speed and improved performance level.

6. Machine Fly
This is called Machine Fly, designed by Gonzalo Guerrero; as name suggests, it’s a motorcycle that can fly! It has no wheels, floats above ground, and looks totally kick-ass!
7. Mad Max Aitu
The Aitu seems to be rough and rowdy, ready for Mad Max to take it for a spin. Designer Renato Gschwend is hoping to attract adventurous souls who want to make heads turn if this bike ever hits the street. It features a powerful V-twin 1800cc engine and non-silent exhausts to ensure you’re heard roaring down the highway.
Masscow Concept Cycles (MCC) has designed this brilliant Jaguar concept bike inspired by the logo of Jaguar cars. This is an example of sheer brilliant design work. It is powered by air-cooled Buell S3?s 1200cc V-twin engine and the frame is made using steel tubing, glass-fiber fairing, removable magnetic mandibles, and a headlight which looks like a jaguar’s head.
Romain Herment has a motorcycle concept that uses nuclear energy as a power source. He calls it “Motorbike 2050 version 2.” This futuristic bike uses two inexhaustible natural elements, deuterium and tritium, allowing a sustainable ride in the days to come
At first glance, this may look like something from the next Transformers movie, but it’s actually Yamaha’s new Tesseract motorcycle concept. According to Yamaha, this concept is the same width as its two-wheeled counterpart. It’s powered by a V-Twin engine and an electric motor.
The FALLOUT concept motorcycle was conceived as a tribute to the classic chopper executed with the street-fighter ethos of function over form. The single sided swingarm meshes with the Bimota sourced frame to create a completely unique Hub-centered steering motorcycle. The short bobber handle bars, chopped exhaust, and long sexy tank bring the best of the chopper aesthetic. Combined with state of the art street-fighter technology, the FALLOUT concept bike is both classic and innovative.
Designed by Swiss Designer Franco Sbarro, this brilliant concept seems to be inspired by the 1988 Anime blockbuster Akira. The bike sports two extra wheels and was first displayed at the Geneva Auto Show back in 2008.
The motorbike has been wedged with a powerful biofuel engine, which will make it roar like a monster. Apart from this, the wheel hubs come embedded with electric motors. Normally, futuristic vehicles, which have been caked with sci-fi features, don’t rank high on the functionality graph.
Designed by Min Seong Kim, this motorcycle concept features an interesting futuristic design that is sure to turn some heads and drop some jaws. Inspired by the human body’s muscular structure, this Hyundai concept bike is supposed to relax and contract just as our muscles do. For example, when the bike turns corners, the body relaxes in order to make the smoothest turn possible.
The Cosmic Motors Detonator is a straight-line dragster for non-human droids of Galaxion planet Tarra I. The design of the plasma combustion bike was tailored to specific race regulations and the unusual bodies of their mechanical riders, although occasionally human models were posing with stationary bikes. All ten Detonators were manufactured for a group of drag race passionate droids. The dragster class that the Detonator bike races in is considerably slower than certain streamline classes, but considered the most fun and most spectacular due to fire spitting exhausts and unbearable noise.
16. Honda Club
This is the Honda Club Motorcycle concept designed by Sam Jilbert. It is a conventional motorcycle concept which is powered by a Hydrogen Fuel Cell and it also features a futuristic design. However the design suggests that if this ever launches it will be a hit in the Japanese markets.
The “PMC 900 WS,” as Poschwatta hails the concept, generates power from a wankel engine and touts adjustable parts for dynamic as well as static use, which changes according to the speed and adjustment of the rider. The Poschwatta motorcycle also features hubless wheels that ideally complement the sleek and artistic body while allowing a smooth ride.
Three designers Bernhard Ranner, Anders August Kittilsen and Rudolf Stefanich, worked to make ZEVS, “The first electric motorcycle for the “real biker.” It’s designed for “real men” and dusty roads, in the spirit of Harley Davidson, Custom Chopper culture and the good old Route 66 romance.
This brilliant futuristic motorcycle concept is powered by the first Cylinder Flat Honda engine. The design looks totally evil, and it also features the magnetic field balancing technology.
21. Ghost & Devil
Designer Muhammad Imran designed Ghost while keeping a flying falcon in mind. He was also inspired by the bike tribute of “Ghost Rider.” Ghost calls out to the young and reckless and will hopefully offer fantastic future fun to those who really have a need for speed. Designer Robert Liddell aimed to give his motorcycle features fitting for the name Devil Bike. He created it with V-twin engine, so this shiny black bike will fit the personality of the young with a passion for speed and style.
Here is another futuristic one-wheeled motorcycle concept. It is called the Hornet Superbike and has ability to zoom around at the speed of your kmph. It is designed by Liam Ferguson with dual citizenship hp (55 kw) in-wheel hydrogen fuel-cell six-phase Neodymium-Iron (Nd-Fe) electric motors which allow the bike to attain such high speeds.
Peraves MonoTracer Jet Bike is a vehicle straight out of the future. The aerodynamic design helps this bike top off at 155 miles per hour. The controls for this bike are similar to a car, with pedal operated accelerator and a steering wheel. It even has two doors and two seats. The Peraves Monotracer is a new, updated and more attractive version of the Swiss-made Ecomobile. The MonoTracer Jet Bike is truly a millionaire boy’s coolest toy.
Designer Daniel Bailey was inspired by two things, making them clear in his concept motorcycle. Speed and the alien characters in “Alien.” This speed racing bike is rugged yet sleek.
25. Magic Tricycle
The Magic Tricycle concept you see here might look like a creation which would not look out of place in the next Transformers movie, but alas, it is not to be at this point in time. The bike is able to toggle between two and three wheels with a push of a button, letting you run on all three on the highway while reverting to just a couple when the roads get gridlocked.
