DeepFocus is a slick new portfolio theme that expands on some of our previous gallery themes such as ePhoto and eGallery. Try out the Demo site here. Now you can turn your WordPress blog into a fully functional online photo gallery while still maintaining all of the features of a normal blog. Along with the gallery layout, DeepFocus comes with a robust blog and CMS-style homepage as well, making it an amazing solution for artists/photographers looking to build an online presence. Photographers will also be pleased to hear that photos are no longer cropped on post pages, making the theme acceptable for both landscape and portrait images. Generally I think ElegantThemes did a great job with DeepFocus, but they also have a huge set of other good looking WordPress themes and their gallery is worth checking out if you are looking for a new theme.

Advertisement It is clear to anyone that ElegantThemes put a lot of professional designer hours into this theme. The look and feel simply stand out! If you are a photographer or a designer that want to showcase your work online this theme will give you an awesome presence.

At the top you find a unique slider that can be used fx. to showcase latest work. It look great and the information box that pops up when the image is hovered is well integrated into the design and still different to what we typically see on sliders.

The widgets included in this themes also look great and blend very well into the overall design.

The single page design is prepared for showcasing images. Just see how the shadow on the image shows up here again (also used on the featured slider).

Five unique color schemes

DeepFocus comes with five different color variations. If the standard color isn’t your style, then try switching to the Wooden, Stone, Green or Noise color schemes. It is not just colors that are changed, but also the texture making the theme look quite different.

Optional blog-style structure

Even though DeepFocus was created to be a CMS with a Page-Based structure, you can also run the theme like a normal blog instead.

ePanel theme options

Tweaking your blog is not as hard as you may think. With ElegantThemes new theme options page called ePanle, you are given complete control over your theme and its various settings. This solution for configuring and preparing a theme for your blog is way above the standard and worth checking out. image

This theme has been localized for easy translation. Using the theme’s MO and PO files, you can quickly translate the design without having to hunt through the theme’s PHP files to change each word.
