This has to be the most pointless article i’ve ever half-read. Congratulations.

David, it is a challenge to write content that is relevant for everyone at the same time. Hope you find other articles you can use on our site over time. For some people the concept of using twitter backgrounds to provide information may be quite useful I think.

David,

Well, when you comment, you need to give proper reasoning to support your point. You have said ‘pointless article’ how and why you consider the article pointless? Otherwise, your comment might seem pointless.

If you doubt the impact of social media, let me tell you, I am an Internet marketer having 5+ years of experience and we have gained so much from social networks in terms of promotion, creating brand awareness, spreading word about our new launches and releases and getting leads and communicating with our existing and potential clients.

Social media is considered as one of the best platforms for online promotion and social media marketing works for companies all around the world, that’s the reason why from Top corporate bodies to small business owners to individuals have become part of social media worldwide. When there was a controversy regarding the ‘antennae issue’ in iphone4, Steve Jobs could effectively respond to queries and doubts through twitter. If face book were a country, it would be third largest country in the world (socionomics.com).

If you doubt the effectiveness of ‘custom background design’, I have given a lot of supporting points in the article itself; I would request you to read the full article (as you have said ‘half-read’). Even Big companies like Coca-Cola, Ford, ESPN etc have got their twitter background designed, as they consider it very important for corporate branding. Of course there are companies/ individuals who have failed till now to make full use of these social networks because they couldn’t probably see the potential of these social networks or due to improper planning or absence of a strategy to make social media campaign successful. Twitter is one of the powerful social networks available today and I have highlighted a few points to show how we can take full advantage of twitter and the free space it provides to tap its potential.

Turning true the hearsay, Twitter has successfully introduced its latest innovative advertising option, to which it has given the name “Promoted Accounts.” If you are a Twitter fan, you can avail this new advantageous idea of Promoted Accounts, which will show up in the “Who to follow” section of a Twitter home page. What makes this innovation impressive is that it is fully algorithmic which decides when and which promoted accounts should be displayed. As has been announced by the company, the promoted accounts that should be suggested depends on your choice as to which advertising source and whom you have been following.
