There is currently a strong trend in web design using drawn illustrations to tell a story and giving the website a unique look that is easy to remember. Often these are in cartoon style and quite funny but they are designed to support the design, the concept, the business or the message being communicated. Great illustrations used right are very powerful and make the design stand out. Web designers use illustrations in many different ways and parts of their designs. On some sites the illustrations dominates the page being a full size background and in others they are strategically placed on the page to support the content.
