Most modern web sites tend to have a lot of colors, content, images, video and sound.

While the overall trend may be going this way “keeping it simple” still works very effectively. In fact, some designers believe that a simple and minimalistic design makes it a lot easier for the visitor to find what he or she is looking for. Just consider this – do you think Google can afford the best designers in the world to make their most important page be as effective and user friendly as possible?

Why is google.com one of the most simple designs we have seen? The answer is simple i believe and it is the same principles Internet marketers use to increase conversion. Help the visitor to take the action you want by removing as much disturbing elements as possible. This post gives you some great examples of keeping Web Design Simple and Minimalistic. If you want to implement sites with simple designs you should look for simple WordPress themes with a clean minimal design.

Aesthetically, I love the zinglbee site – it’s a stunning design but, despite its simplicity, it’s kind of hard work to absorb!

3Diddi looks great too and does a better job of making it’s point (much simpler point to make, though!)

We recently posted about the functional basis of minimal, simple web design.
