Still there is a growing industry for selling premium themes for wordpress and one may wonder why… Basically if you are serious about your blog/magazine or your business and you consider to use WordPress to improve your on-line presence then premium themes may be worth considering. The price on premium themes is normally quite low (20-150$) but in most cases you will need to make some customizations to avoid that your sites look and feel is identical with other sites using the same theme. Premium themes are usually build with customization in mind and if you’re not a experienced PHP and WordPress developer yourself the support and customization options offered with premium themes may be your life line. Wow, January really was quite a busy for WordPress themes. I don’t know how, but I totally missed the PostCard theme from WooThemes, it’s great and would make for a great starting point when developing a travel site.

Also, the othrs that you’ve highlighted (apartment and job board specifically) are looking really good.

The trick for finding a good wordpress theme is to look past the colorful images and look at the layout. There were definitely a food good layouts you recognized.
