This is a follow-up on 16 Scaringly Realistic 3D Animations – WOW where I promised more 3D goodies soon. 3D animators produce loads of truly stunning 3D images to satisfy our endless demands for better and more realistic 3D effects in games and films. Luckily 3D animators share and collaborate to get ideas, feedback etc. allowing all of us that have not learned to apply this kind of magic sitting in front of a computer to get a sneak peek on their creations… I browsed through loads of posts at zbrushcentral.com to find the best 3D creations for this post. Hope you will enjoy it and hopefully be inspired somehow.

They are amazing, but there will always be something missing from the eyes in my opinion no matter how advanced the artists become, perhaps you can’t render the soul.

  2. tripwiremag Says:

@Sean: I know what you mean. But they are getting closer all the time and if you’re not aware you certainly can be tricked to think that an animation is in fact a real human…

I agree, my first reaction is that the eyes lack the life that a soul brings. It will be really scary when they figure that out!

… for an animation there has to be motion. What I see: 3D Graphics! Really nice examples for 3D-Graphics.

I love the one with title “Some work by bneall”, it’s really amazing, even the scar looks real.

No, those are NOT really 3D Animations. To be an animation, it needs to be moving.
