This is a follow-up on 16 Scaringly Realistic 3D Animations – WOW where I promised more 3D goodies soon. 3D animators produce loads of truly stunning 3D images to satisfy our endless demands for better and more realistic 3D effects in games and films. Luckily 3D animators share and collaborate to get ideas, feedback etc. allowing all of us that have not learned to apply this kind of magic sitting in front of a computer to get a sneak peek on their creations… I browsed through loads of posts at zbrushcentral.com to find the best 3D creations for this post. Hope you will enjoy it and hopefully be inspired somehow.

These are actually 3D models not animations. I use Zbrush though it is and awesome program. You can see some more models at my facebook group. Zbrush is the premiere 3d sculpting and modeling program that you can find. Also zbrush just had another upgrade and now includes fibers and more it is Awesome. I would honestly like to see these 3d models animated it would be hugely awesome.

So are they all really 3D models?

No, those are NOT really 3D Animations. To be an animation, it needs to be moving.

I love the one with title “Some work by bneall”, it’s really amazing, even the scar looks real.

… for an animation there has to be motion. What I see: 3D Graphics! Really nice examples for 3D-Graphics.

I agree, my first reaction is that the eyes lack the life that a soul brings. It will be really scary when they figure that out!

Holy crap, I guess I’m just going to have to take your word for it on some of those!

They are amazing, but there will always be something missing from the eyes in my opinion no matter how advanced the artists become, perhaps you can’t render the soul.

@Sean: I know what you mean. But they are getting closer all the time and if you’re not aware you certainly can be tricked to think that an animation is in fact a real human…
