jQuery is very popular and there’s a lot of plugins available to solve both simple and complex tasks for us in a snap. While there a many articles listing great jQuery plugins we have seen many times before I have decided to create a list of brand new and worth investigating plugins that havejust been released only hours to days ago. Go check out latest updates on jQuery plugins yourself here!

jTimepicker is a jQuery plugin for set hours and minutes individually with jQuery UI Slider. I know there are tons of date pickers out there but this one is different and very fresh! Demo

jQuery Highlighter

A useful plugin to highlight elements on your site. While trying this plugin out I found that it is not handling resize of windows very well yet but still it is worth keeping an eye on if you’re looking for a simple way to create fx. an walk through of web site features. Demo

Fixed Table Header

Fixed Table Header plugin is fixing header row of table without div overflow. This means that a table header can be fixed to the top of the browser window as you scroll if the bottom of the table is not visible. This is a great feature if you have large tables on your site! Demo

It’s nice to see a list of recent jQuery plugins that I haven’t found. Thanks for sharing. The jQuery highlighter looks especially interesting.
