Very sad to say that there is no Screencast tool out there which captures 25 frames per second(for windows). I havent tested Screentoaster yet now, so i cant judge that tool. But commercial tools like Camtasia 6 is a big shit. I prefer Debut Video Capture, its a nice capture tool for windows. http://www.nchsoftware.com/capture/. Mac Screencapture tools rockzzz, because of OS.

I really like ScreenToaster as well, as there are rarely any applications for Linux . . . especially applications that don't need downloading, as I'm not an administrator on my own computer. -.-

However, as of currently, I have a problem with ScreenToaster where the rectangular select-region to record doesn't appear. And if I use the full desktop region record option, the button to stop recording doesn't work.

So I haven't found another good website with screen capture--ScreenCastle is very confusing--I think they also capture the ScreenCastle recording window, which is completely strange since I didn't select that area. Also, there's no hot keys, so I always have to remember to click out of the ScreenCastle recording window and then click back on to stop recording and such. Very annoying.

Very long comment, sorry. But thanks for this informative post.

As a Mac user, there seem to be slim pickin's in that list :(

I agree with Jeff, I really like Screen Toaster, although I do look forward to it improving some of its features :) It's got a great base, especially for us lowly Mac Heads ;)
